The EMDASH Award is an annual prize with a unique focus on performative work. The winning artist has the opportunity to realise a new project which is commissioned by EMDASH and presented in partnership with an institution or museum. The EMDASH Award celebrates innovative thinking and progressive performative art. It enables the winning artist to develop their practice and engage with wide audiences in new and potentially unexpected ways. The artists are shortlisted and judged by a jury and the winning artist is announced in March each year.
