For their work they took as its source material is Peles, a Romanian castle sited at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains. Peles Empire is a collaborative artistic duo composed of German artists Katharina Stöver and Barbara Wolff. Established in 2005, Peles Empire is known for their site-specific installations that reimagine the opulent interiors of the Peleș Castle in Romania through wallpaper and architectural elements.
