Rashid Rana, who is widely regarded as the top Pakistani artist of his time, originally rose to popularity in South Asia before obtaining more widespread, global attention after the turn of the millennium. Through alteration, repetition, and rearrangement, Rana transposes imagery from one time and place to another through his photography, sculpture, and digital prints.
